This piece is 3- D. The hand-cut pieces pop off the page creating a dynamic one of a kind piece. Each layer is cut and assembled using archival materials. It is all created with paper keeping things airy and light. It is framed in a matte black shadow box that is 2inch deep. Allowing the artwork to have space to pop off the page. This hand-cut piece pushes the viewer to explore the many floors of a building. It plays with being able to see two perspectives at once in a sky rise city building, seeing the building brick right across from you but also the city layout and floors of individual buildings.
